Its sad when you lose a chick, in last years clutch a chick died. The father killed it and there was nothing I could do but I felt horrible. This time around I took out the father even before the first egg was laid because he was being abusive. I'm not breeding them again. We had a stunted chick in last year's clutch but she survived. She was tiny but she is now living with an elderly man that takes good care of her. The other chick lives with my best friend and she loves him.
Hi, I just wanted to thank you for posting your thread about the incubator. It probably saved the clutch of chicks my hen has right now after she left them for a couple of hours. How are your chicks doing? Right now I have 1 chick in the nestbox and another is starting to hatch.
