Default Mutation and gender

I was hoping to get some help with this tiel's mutation and gender. The owner says that it's a lutino male. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to lutinos but I thought this one looked a bit patchy and its color was more dilluted. Could it also be pearl or pied?

Maybe pied, can't tell for sure with the pix... pearl lutino is a gorgeous mutation but is pretty recognizable... here is one of the lutino pearls I bred...

I can't see the bird well enough to tell whether there are pearl markings, but I would agree that patchiness of the color looks like pied.

If it's pied, it's harder to tell the sex by looking at wing and tail feathers. Pied feathers don't have any markings on them regardless of the bird's age or sex. With a non-lutino it's easy to tell the difference between a pied feather and a non-pied feather, but it's a lot harder with a lutino. If you see marks on a lutino feather you know that this particular feather is not a pied feather. But if you don't see marks, you don't know if it's because this is a pied feather or if it's because the bird is a mature male.
