Here is the pearl baby. Not sure cinnamon, lutino or grey pearl. Exact copy if his/her mom. To me it seems its a girl as only daughters can be visual for it unless dad has a pearl gene too.

only daughters can be visual pearls IF dad has the gene while mom is not. In your couple's case both parents are pearl-mom is visual and dad is a split or molted visual. If dad doesnt have pearl gene-you wont see any pearl babies at all no matter how mom looks like. it is not good picture, but it seems cinnamon pearl and it looks like its a girl-I do sex my baby pearls according to this article. Not anyone agrees with it but it had worked for me really great http://www.justcockatiels.net/pearl.html

I am a bit confused here now. As both mom and dad are pearls, how you guess its a she and not a he ?

Check out the article linked in the members' post above mine. It has some info on sexing pearls; the tail colouring is what generally gives it away. In my experience it has been accurate as far as sexing my two pearls.

Dad must be split to pearl. Since mom is visual pearl and dad is split, you can get pearl babies and grey babies of both sexes.

I see. Means I would have to wait a little while to know for sure the sex of babies.

If this baby is male, he will look like a normal grey when he's an adult.
