Smile Price opinion!

How much should I ask for my Whiteface Cinnamon cockatiel once it is weaned?
Not going to make a profit, just wondering what a fair price for this mutation is.
He is a single chick (sex unknown) hand fed but occasionally fed by parents as well (they were plucking him so I only give them supervised visitation rights once a day)
Extremely pet-able and extremely affectionate... super cute.

BTW I'm located in Colorado, where I Haven't seen a cockatiel at a pet store yet at all, and I haven't seen one for sale on craigslist for less that 125.

Standard cockatiel pricing sort of starts around $100 for a pretty but not rare mutation tame bird. Less for a normal or poorly socialized, or older bird, more for an especially gorgeous mutation or a rare one, or a bird that's already Harness trained.

Btw what color were the parents? If the MOTHER isn't cinnamon, your baby is a girl cinnamon is sex linked and can only be inherited certain ways

My guy was $140, for a normal grey, in Indiana. He was 8 weeks old at the time of purchase.

I don't know if that helps for Whiteface Cinnamon and Colorado, though.

I get a wide variety of the more desirable mutations from my pair, I get lutino, whiteface lutino, pearl lutino pied lutino, pearl, whiteface pearl, pied, whiteface pied, whiteface grey and normal grey from them. I handraise from 2-3 weeks, my babies are banded, come with a hatch certificate, they are sweet and tame and go home with a treat bag full of goodies including a baby picture mini canvas fridge magnet, a corn husk doll shredding toy and samples of the food they have been weaned onto, millet and treats. I sell mine for $100 no matter what the mutation is. My babies are snapped up usually long before they are weaned. I have had 2 people waiting since last clutch for one from this clutch I am planning in a week or two.

Wow !! What a super-care giving so much.. I always give colorful instruction and a sample of food and people are happy with this. And I do sell WF at slightly higher price. What I do know is that price in South California for a hand tame bird is about $100-150. You may try calling Petco around the country, not only in your state and ask around

My WF cock was $60, but he was also an adoption. My lutino was $110 from a bird specialty store. I'd say a normal whiteface could go for $130-160

Here in Manitoba, Canada, a good, friendly, handfed whiteface goes between $100-140 CDN. I've seen them go as low as $80 through a breeder. Pet stores usually jack their prices and the same bird will easily go between $200-300 bux. I personally sell my birds at about $100 CDN.

Here in Florida, Cockatiels are generally sold as 45-100$. The highest I have seen is 120$ for a white faced pearl. That said they are very common here!
