Default 'Tiel problem solving

I read a study last night about avian cognition. I replicated the test with Alex. It took him a few hours to figure out, here's the result:

I'd be interested in seeing others try it with their birds too.

That's great! I'd like to try that with Bennie, too!
I did try one dog problem solving activity with him. He didn't pass. In this 'test", you cover the bird's treat with a piece of napkin or cloth and see if the bird can figure out where it went.
Did you ever see the video of a crow actually bending a wire to reach a treat in the bottom of a jar? It's amazing, too.

Wow, what a clever bird! I will definitely have to try this. I am really interested to see how mine go. I think Panda would figure it out before Zoe, based purely on the fact that he figured out how to get food from the seedmate before Zoe did. She might surprise me though.
I think I will give this a go on the weekend! I will post results once it's done!
