Question Mark Girl or boy

Is it a girl or boy? In the middle of a molt. 6 months old. How to tell? I don't think it's a pied. The new feathers are pearled. It's back is all pearled, it's head is yellow, it's tummy is gray and there is a yellow patch on tummy. Is this pied?

Can you put a picture without the cage? It makes it hard to tell if you want a more detailed reply.

Oh, also, I live in Sacramento too

There is a signature sticky to request them at. You have to attach the pictures you want in the signature there as well.

The cage being in the way makes it really hard to tell. If the pearls stay after the molt it's a female. If they disappear, male. You'll know when the molt is over. Any idea on what the parents were?

At six months old, a male would be fading to grey by now so I'm pretty sure that bird is a hen. No, it's not a pied, it's a normal pearl.
