Question Mark Montana Madiera Cage

I was wondering if anyone has a Montana Madiera Cage either I or II? I was thinking of getting one, but I'd like to know if seed spills out a lot? One of my current cages has no seed catcher and the floor gets in such a mess!

I'd be going for the latest model that has horizontal bars.

Any comments on these cages? Thanks!

They are similar to the A&E Elegant cages if you want to see some more reviews. I don't see them catching seed better than any other cage out there.

You can try a fabric seed skirt, but it'll likely get pooped on and need washed frequently. Placing your dishes low in the cage can help - you can get covered ones or place a platform perch above them to keep poop out. There are also some acrylic "tidy" feeders out there that hang outside the cage. Otherwise, mess is just one of those things that comes along with owning parrots. I do quick cleanups with a cordless vacuum once or twice a day in between regular vacuumings.

I don't have that cage, but having a cage skirt and tidy bird food bowls really makes a drastic improvement on the amount of mess that gets put off.

I would definitely give tidy feed bowls a try. I have one called a "seedmate" and it is amazing for keeping food from spilling all over the floor. The company that makes them don't ship internationally but i'm sure you could find something similar

My Eclectus new cage has a seed catcher and honestly it was pretty useless because spills still happened when food drops through the grate to the tray and bounces out under the seed catcher lmao.
