During my short ownership of Enzo, I've so far only made one toy for him (and it surely wasn't anything hard or special haha).

All I've made for him is that I tied a bundle of straws together with straws and he just loves chewing on them. However, he doesn't seem to chew on any of his other toys (even the baby rings that I've bought).

So I was wondering if there were any smaller sized toys that I could make for him to chew on, since due to his smaller size, it may make chewing on baby rings harder than with straws.

Like, could I use paper products like paper towels, or are those dangerous for them? I've looked around for safe items to use, but I'm not sure if I can trust them or not since some have different products listed as safe or dangerous, so I thought I'd come here.

Jaid doesn't really play with toys anymore, but he used to love balsa wood. It's very soft wood, so little guys like cockatiels and budgies can chew through it easily.

If he isn't really interested in other things, why not try small little colorful bits to play with? Jaid'll want to play with my conure's foot toys if he's currently using them, like safe buttons, beads and other colorful things to pick up and beak

short strips of cotton shirt may be cut and hanged in the cage, I do give my tiels paper towel rolls (form a ''perch'' out of them and stick through the bars of the cage. perches made out of safe wood are a good option too. wooden ladder can be found at pet store, they love to destroy those steps it has
