I've been thinking about this for a while now - and never could find an answer on any book or website. I know all birds are different, but I'm wondering if there's any sort of minimum.
In short; How many toys does a tiel need in it's cage at one time?
From what I've figured, five is an absolute minimum. Other people have said any amount that will fit in the cage without overcrowding it and will allow the bird to climb about with ease is good. From my experience that's between 3-5 toys, depending on the size of the cage.

My Julie absolutely refuses to touch any toys, no matter how long they have been hanging inside or outside the cage. If they are anyway near the purch she will take the long way around using the cage net as a highway...
I have tried about 10 different types of toys, big and small... she prefers pulling strands out of an old towel when with me outside the cage..
