Default How much pattern do male pearls lose when adults?

Just curious, I know male pearl tiels lose their pearl pattern when they're older and after their first big molt. Do they end up losing all their pearls, or do they usually keep some pearls in the end but just lose most?

Thanks!

All of their pearls, usually. Pied cocks may retain the pearls for years, or even indefinitely.

Miles is a cinnamon pearl male; he lost all his pearls within a year.

They lose all of them. Which is why it can be hard to tell an adult male pearl from a normal grey. My Fuzzy still had some of his at 3 yrs old but he was split pied and that seemed to have an affect on him losing his pearls.
