Moving to a new place very often is something which can be pretty stressful for cockatiels (they are very much like parrots in that aspect). It takes time for them to get comfortable in their new surroundings. And then in your case there's new people they have to get used to, too! :O
Give them some time, and I think there's a good chance they'll come around Did your friend tell you where the birds came from? Were they tame before, and did they step up and let their heads get scratched? Or have they always lived in an outside aviary and never had much contact with humans?

When I got Puck, I was advised to cuddle with him for a bit before introducing him to his new cage (he is a cuddlebug!) Otherwise I was told to leave him to do his own thing and get used to all the new things in his life in the week or so following. I did pet him during that time, but only when he came to me of his own free will.

Give your new feathered friends some time to get used to things, and try to maybe bribe them into coming to you by offering millet from your hand.

Good luck!

Default need some help

It is normal for cockatiels to be afraid of a new situation at first, but give them time. Just sitting near them and talking to them is a help in getting them used to you (sitting is less intimidating than standing). And as Lore said, millet can work wonders! Offer them small pieces in your hand. Let them see good things come from your hand. And be patient; it will take some time. I know you are excited about your new little friends and want them to warm up to you, but give them time. When I first got Bennie I was afraid he didn't like me. But patience and time paid off. You've only had your birds a few days; it will take a little more time. Best wishes to you and your new little friends!

Oh, thank you guys, I didn't have any idea how to get them to like me, it's my first time to own birds, I'll try what you said to me, and i hope they get used to their new surrounding.. I see that Joy is more aggressive than Grey, she'll be so hard to tame... They came from a pet shop

I bet you'll find plenty of good tips in the other training and bonding topics, too! Give a few of them a read through, I think you'll end up finding a lot of useful information
Make sure to check out the articles and library too!

Everyone has to start somewhere! I'm pretty new to having pet birds too. We're all here to learn, even the people who have had birds for a long time will still learn something new. We're all here to share experiences and help eachother out n_n
