Kind of reminds me a little bit of Hank when she was like 5 months old
I thought she was trying to talk but I guess she wasn't
Although it was the start of the wolf whistle imitation
Thank you for the replies, girls
Ok, so Perry is either a boy learning his trade sounds or a tomboy girl like Hanks! I like both possibilities
His/her tail isn't barred, the feathers are solid yellow with dark centre veins, and the pattern on the wings' underside is completely different from Skyle;, ah well I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I won't lie, the suspense is killing me
I just remembered something. Apparently -- with pearls only -- young males can be distinguished by looking at the two longest tail feathers. If there's a black tip or black colouring at the end, it's a boy. Coco has always had this, and he is definitely 100% male.
Sort of, except a male's grey tip is bigger and more noticeable. Females are capable of having slight black tips but they tend to be minute, like Hank's.
They are still all asleep... I am tempted to go in guerilla style, get the babies out and examine the tail before the parents can make a sound... Yes sounds like a good plan
