Question Mark pattern preference?

I noticed something interesting recently. A couple of days ago I changed my bedspread. The old one was solid dark blue. The new one is a floral print, overall dark rose in color. Bennie never took any notice of the old one. Now he flies over and starts walking around one the spread. occasionally pecking at it. It almost seems like he sees the flowers and thinks they might be edible. Are any of your birds attracted to certain fabrics?

Cockatiels are ground feeders in the wild. They very often search through patterns and carpet naturally foraging. If you are trying to switch to pellets, sprinkling them on your new patterned sheet may do the trick, since he is naturally exploring for good.

Haha! My flock does the same on my patterned quilt. They are also very intent on trying to eat the designs off my shirts.

I like that idea! He does seem to be foraging among the "flowers!" I'll give him something healthy to find.
