My Sunny is soooo spoiled even I can't deny it anymore!

You know what she does? Whenever we're in the livingroom and she wants to go back into our room, she flies to my head, flies up against our bedroom door, then fly back to my head again. This is her way of telling me "I want to go back into our room so go open the door NOW so I can FLY back inside". (Our bedroom door is usually half-closed because of the coats I have hanging behind it so the gap is not wide enough that she can fly back in.) Of course, she could easily WALK back inside. There's plenty of room in that gap for walking. But no. She wants to FLY back inside.

For too long now, I have been obediently doing what she wanted me to do. I would go open the door for her so she could fly back inside. But not tonight. Tonight, I decided to stand my ground. ;) Enough is enough! So I didn't budge this time. She did the flying to head-door-head thing 6-7 times, and every time I said "no Beebee, if YOU want to go back inside our room, you WALK!!!" Finally she realized I wasn't going to budge, so she flew to the floor and waddled inside our room in a very disgruntled manner, then flew to the cage for a drink of water (I KNEW that was the reason!!!)

So, finally I am able to put my foot down on ONE thing.>.< Anyone else got bossy tiels stories to share? Would love to hear them.

i just got yelled at by Dally to cover her for bed lol. normally she screams if i am 5 minutes late in covering their cage. but today, she yelled at me 15 minutes earlier!! the tiels go to bed at 9pm each night. they will put themselves in their sleep corner behind the fleece curtains. then if i dont take the prompt that its bedtime, Dally screams at me with her "CAS-EY! CAS-EY!" scream lol
today miss bossy demanding fluffball decided bedtime was 15 minutes early!!

Rocko does the same thing - Around 9:30-10 PM, he'll start screaming for me to cover up the cage.

He also won't tolerate being outside of the cage and not on my shoulder or head. I'll be trying to get dressed in the morning after a shower, but the little twerp keeps perching on my head towel! Makes it awfully difficult to put a shirt on.

Oh, and he also won't tolerate being inside the cage if I'm just chilling on the computer or otherwise sitting on my bed. He runs back and forth and screeches as loud as he can, because he knows I'll get him out since he's completely quiet outside of his cage. <_<

He also tries to grab my toothbrush while I brush my teeth.

My keyboard and my phone? Haha the use of "my" is totally false. It's Rocko's keyboard and Rocko's phone.

Your birds are hilarious! I think Mica is bossing me when she shoves her beak into the side of my head so I will whistle to her. If I stop, she will do it again. Miss Bossy Pants! Whistle yourself!

Ha ha thanks for sharing! Sounds like our tiels got US well-trained to turn tricks on THEIR queue! Sunny sure had me trained to go open our bedroom door on command. Well, she could have at least rewarded me with some millet or said good girl or something! I don't even get a treat or one word of praise for turning tricks so that is why I stopped!

My bird Butters is the same way, the big boss man. He will insiste I open the blinds so he can see out the window to watch the pond and birds flying by. He will tweet and start walking back and forth on his play pen on top of the cage untill he can see out the window. Also, if I get something to eat, he demands that I give him some of my food too. He will complain and tweet very loud untill I give in and give him some of my food, from the plate. So I have been giving in to him, and giving him a little bit of my food, so I can have some peace and quiet.
